Kia Kaha is a short, independent documentary focusing on the
aftermath of the Christchurch earthquake. The film shares the
personal stories of four Cantabrians, their experiences living with
aftershocks and their hopes for the future of their city.
Kia Kaha was originally made as a major project for the UTS Media
Arts and Production degree. The film was shot on location in
Christchurch in July 2011 and completed in Sydney in November 2011.
Since completion, Kia Kaha has had a tremendous response, receiving
overwhelming positive feedback from both sides of the Tasman.
